Creme Brulee

Evening all, not made any cards tonight been watching Britain's Got Talent and now had too much wine to made a card so here's one I made last night.

This is one of my favourite Tilda's, I managed to get her off ebay but she's been sat unused for a while.

It's inspired by Teresa over at Craftingallday I loved the idea of using a recipe with it, if you've not seen Teresa's work take a look here - it's a tribute to Tilda.

Kitchen Tilda is coloured with Copics
Tim Holtz papers edged wtih Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Doily from Joanna Sheen
Recipe from old book
Charm and flowers from stash

Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend

Hugs

Last one for today

This one was inspired by Rachel after asking how she had managed to get all the different text and fonts in the right place, Rachel kindly put a tutorial on her blog. I actually managed to do it, once I'd found out how to make everything transparent that is.

The card is for my Dad to send his partner, he did ask for something with a Spaniel on! I think this is much more classier than a decoupaged dog, lol.

Materials used:
Craftwork Cards 8x8 cardblank
DCWV Linen cardstock
Papermania Build-a-Rose stamp

Tilda meets Tim Holtz

Thanks to the lovely Craftingallday posting about some Yummy Tim Holtz papers she got I just had to have some, and boy were you right Teresa, they are YUMMY, so much so even I had trouble bringing myself to cut and stick them. Not like me.

Cherry Tilda and the steps were bought off a DC buddy and this is the first card I've used them on, coloured with Copics.

All the papers are from the "Vintage Shabby" stack and have been distressed wtih Pumice Stone, the flowers are from my stash.

Challenge Between Friends

Hi there, hope all's well with everyone, can't believe it's so long since I've been in blogland.

The Challenge Between Friends over on Docrafts was set by PapercraftPat this time, we had to use three flowers made from different materials.

I've used my Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die and made them out of tissue, organza and pages from an old book and distressed.

Stamps used: Prima Script and Garden Gate, Tim Holtz sentiment
DP: Hot off the Press
Distress Inks used: Bundled Sage, Tea Dye, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade
Other: Bronze Perfect Pearls

I'm really lovin getting inky with my Distress inks, no good at colouring with them but have a fab time playing around with them.

Longing

Thought I'd try a different take on the Easel cards, I've seen a few of these made with nesties but not tried it before. I used my Scalloped and Plain circles.

The papers are digi downloads by Zoe Pearn they are remarkably like a set of My Mind's Eye papers I have and love.

Longing Tilda is coloured with Copics

A Cuddly Buddly sentiment and some glittered roses, pearl slider and ribbon to finnish.

I'm entering it for the following challenges

Just Magnolia - One for the Girls
Totally Gorjuss - Round and Round
Crafty Catz- Petals and Pearls

Crafty Cardmakers - Distressing

I am loving my Distress inks at the moment after buying some Ink Dusters and quite a few inkpads. I've since bought some Tim Holtz embossing powders and perfect pearls and love them and been hunting suitable stamps.

The challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers is distressing so I'm entering this one, it's my first proper attempt at Distressing and I'm really pleased with it.

I love the TH postcard stamp which he uses on one of the You Tube demo's and couldn't believe it when there was one on ebay and won I it. It's a really big stamp but stamps perfectly.

Also used

Kay & Co paper
Script stamp by Prima
Sentiment stamp by Creative Expressions

Everything has been distressed with Brushed Corduroy and Tea Dye.

CraftyCatz - Card and a Tag

This has been sat on my desk in bits for a couple of days, I started with the tag, dabbling with my new Ink Dusters and Distress Inks, I then added some leafy stamps with little birdies and an Inkadinkado sentiment which were in a great big box of goodies I won before Christmas then didn't know what to do with it until I saw the challenge at Crafty Catz "a Card and a Tag" so there was my answer.

I made a pocket fold card, the paper has been in my drawer for ages, possible Basic Grey, added some embossed American Craft cardstock with swiss dots and some eyelets with raffia from the Garden section at the Poundshop.

It just need something to finnish it but I didn't know what until my Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die landed on my doormat. I used a page from an old book and added distress inks, glimmer spray and distress stickles.

Just ... too late

Well this was going to be my entry for the sketch over at Just Magnolia, but I missed the deadline. Going to have to get organised and not leave them till last minute.

I also made a co-ordinating Pizza box using my Martha Stewart scoreboard as the flowers make it a bit awkward to put in an envelope.

The papers are from my lovely new My Mind's Eye stacks Penny Lane and La Paperie with some American Crafts cardstock.

Tilda has been coloured with Copics and the yummy flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I've had them a while now but this is the first card I've used them on and absolutely love them. In fact I love this card fullstop. Hope you do too.

Lili of the Valley - Here Comes Summer

Afternoon bloggers, well I've been very good this morning and done all my jobs, so now I can play. I made this one last night for the Lili of the Valley challenge "Here Comes Summer" thankfully this challenge still has a week to go, unlike the Just Magnolia one I missed. I'll post it later anyway.

I've used my new Manga stamp "Tiny Tiddler" from Funky Kits, she is just so pretty. Coloured her with Promarkers for a change. They are now in a pot on my desk so are quick to hand. The papers are all from a DCWV stack and DCWV linen cardstock. Added a bit of cord and threaded some through eyelets (punched with another new tool - the Crop-a-dile which is fab) and attached a fishy charm.

Altered Cd's

This is a present for a friend, who has just come out of hospital after having a stroke at the age of 39. She is doing well and came home after just two weeks rather than the 6-8 weeks they expected. She's got a lot of hard work ahead. As a crafter thought she would like this.

I used My Mind's Eye papers, distressed and glimmered them, stamped them all over with friendship quotes in Gold Brilliance, added some flowers made with the Blossom nestie and some die cut butterflys.

Passion for Promarker Challenge and Challenge Between Friends

Back with my second post for today, making up for lost time, I had no PC last week due to the fact it had about 20 viruses! I did get lots more cards made than usual, which obviously means I spend far too much time on it.

I decided to get my Promarkers out for a change and used this gorgeous Lilli of the Valley image which my friend Suzanne kindly sent me.

The Passion for Promarker challlenge is a fab sketch but you have to use handmade flowers are well. Mine are three sizes of the blossom nestie, again sprayed with water and scrunched up.

You may notice there are no patterned papers, only embossed cardstock, that's because Sandy C over on Docrafts set the Challenge Between Friends and we weren't allowed any. I think the bold colours work well with this image anyway. Just not sure about those flowers, might have to change them.

Right I'm off to upload some of my lastest creations to my Docraft Gallery, have a great day.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Happy holiday Monday to you all, hope you're having a lovely weekend and spending lots of time crafting.

Over at the Penny Black Saturday challenge it's time to get out your punches.

I've used a new stamp "Yearning" coloured with Copics
Papers are Kay & Co and American Crafts cardstock which I've run a dressmakers wheel along the edges for faux stitching.
Another new toy is my Martha Stewart Floral Vine border punch and finally added a flower made with three different size punches, MS leaf frond spritzed with water and screwed up.
