Lili's Little Fairies - Peaches n Cream

It's been so long since I've entered any challenges apart from the last two House Mouses so I thought I'd pop over to the Lili of the Valley challenge site Lili's Little Fairies. I bought some of the new releases and had yet to use them, the theme is Peaches n Cream.

I've been busy doing trial runs of these tealight cards, as they are going to be the project for my craft club this month. I made my own square version which was really easy (i've got a thing about square cards). Used Kraft cardstock for the base, K&Co papers and the cute girl on a branch image coloured with copics.

I did also think you could put chocolates in instead of candles but have yet to find the perfect fit - needless to say I've been eating lots of chocolate!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

A busy bee

As per usual my blogging is rather somewhat lacking.

I have however been busy over the weekend, a friend has asked me to do a stall at a summer fair with her and her Pandora bracelets. It's in two weeks time so I am trying to make a variety and if I get time I want to make some gifty things as they always seem to sell better than cards.

Here's the first few

At some point I need to think about my Father's Day cards, I'd much rather be doing nice girly ones.

For You

Morning all,

I'm on a roll and found my crafting mojo last night. I've seen a few of these cards and thought I'd give it a go. So easy. I think it's called a Wallet card but correct me if I'm wrong.

I used some delicious Desert Orchid papers by Trimcraft, a Lili of the Valley image and sentiment coloured with copics, Blossom nesties, Xcut scallop punch and Petaloo flowers and pearls to finnish.

I'm entering this into

Dutch Dare - Fancy Fold card
Do You Stack Up - Scallops

1st Craftymess Challenge Card

Over on Craftymess Shannon is hosting a Lili of the Valley challenge, think these are everybodies favourites right now.

The criteria was to use LotV image, an A5/6x6 card using texture and punches a nice easy one to start.

I used the new "I Do" stamp coloured with Copics, Tim Holtz papers and SU Kraft (or Crumbcake as it now known), Martha Stewart heart and border punches, LotV sentiment and Wild Orchid flowers with McGill pine punch leaves.

First Challenge card of the year

I'm afraid to say I have rather neglected the Gingersnap forum although I did the Winter exchange, I love the swaps as the artwork received is always lovely.

Anyway, determined to get more involved so here it is my first challenge card of the year for the Gingersnap's Chestnut theme "Hot Beverages"

It was a quick card but works well.

Tim Holtz - Vintage Shabby backing paper
Unity background stamp
Lilli of the Valley image coloured with Copics
White flower coloured with Stormy Sky Distress Ink
Glitter and Viva Pearl pen to finnish

1st Cricut Card

Well I finally made my first card using my new Cricut Expression which I treated myself too just before Christmas.

Up until now I have just been pressing buttons and seeing what happened, lol, but with the help of a very talented lady called Sue whose blog you can find here she convinced me a Cricut was nothing without SCAL and a few tutorials this is my first card.

The template is an SVG's which can be bought from Sue's website PlayingwithPaper and the images are of course the lovely Lilli of the Valley coloured with Copics.

Can't wait to make some more projects, got a lot to learn but I'm sure in 12 months time, I'll wonder how I ever managed without a Cricut.

Passion for Promarker Challenge and Challenge Between Friends

Back with my second post for today, making up for lost time, I had no PC last week due to the fact it had about 20 viruses! I did get lots more cards made than usual, which obviously means I spend far too much time on it.

I decided to get my Promarkers out for a change and used this gorgeous Lilli of the Valley image which my friend Suzanne kindly sent me.

The Passion for Promarker challlenge is a fab sketch but you have to use handmade flowers are well. Mine are three sizes of the blossom nestie, again sprayed with water and scrunched up.

You may notice there are no patterned papers, only embossed cardstock, that's because Sandy C over on Docrafts set the Challenge Between Friends and we weren't allowed any. I think the bold colours work well with this image anyway. Just not sure about those flowers, might have to change them.

Right I'm off to upload some of my lastest creations to my Docraft Gallery, have a great day.

Second post of the day

Been busy making some Calendars at the last minute, one's for my Mum and the other for a special crafty friend, still need to make myself one.

A mixture of papers, K & Co, Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye papers with American Crafts cardstock. Also used some Whitewash cardstock which looks great cuttlebugged and sanded. The girl on the swing is from Lili of the Valley and coloured with copics the other is from Mo's Digital Pencil and callied Patience, coloured with Prisma's.

Cards with new stash

Well as the weather was so cold and horrible yesterday I decided to have a play with some of my new stash from my prize draw win.

Made a few simple cards, it was nice to do something other than Christmas Cards, which have all been sent, so that's them over and done with for another year.

Lili of the Valley Unicorn and Dragon coloured with Promarkers with My Minds Eye papers and Coredination cardstock

Monkey stamp by Stampendous coloured with Promarkers and DCWV papers

Happy Elephants by Little Claire, paper pieced with My Minds Eye paper, flowers and grass coloured with Promarkers.

Sarah Kay - A Kiss for Chloe, this one took a little longer as I paper pieced it using two different My Minds Eye papers, hair and skin coloured with Promarkers.
