How time flies

I can't believe it's over two weeks since I posted anything, I have been crafting honestly. Just to prove it here are some of my latest creations.

One of the lovely new Lili's

Sorry Shani - Just for You

Gone Fishing

Pilkington Lane

It's my birthday tomorrow so as I've not got any trips to the shows planned I'm making up for it and ordering lots of new goodies, will let you see what I get very soon.

In the meantime I've got to dash round with the mop and bucket then off for a girly lunch with youngest daughter, Mum and Auntie. I'm going to be a little fat piggy this week as I was out with an old school friend yesterday too.

Have a great day,

Scraplings and Paint Chips

I can hear you all saying to yourself "What on earth are scraplings and paintchips?" Well I had no idea either until I came across the Art Exchange on the Gingersnaps Yahoo Group. Scraplings are mini cards measuring 1.5" x 4.25" and paint chips are the paint samples from the DIY store.

Thought I'd give them ago so off I went to B&Q to raid their paint aisle, now this was a challenge because I didn't realise how small they were and I never got on with ATC's for that reason, I'm in my comfort zone with tags however, I think they look quite good.

I stuck to a floral theme for all of them, something I don't do enough of, Stamps used were Paper Artsy on the orange and purple and Penny Blacks on the green and pink.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Happy holiday Monday to you all, hope you're having a lovely weekend and spending lots of time crafting.

Over at the Penny Black Saturday challenge it's time to get out your punches.

I've used a new stamp "Yearning" coloured with Copics
Papers are Kay & Co and American Crafts cardstock which I've run a dressmakers wheel along the edges for faux stitching.
Another new toy is my Martha Stewart Floral Vine border punch and finally added a flower made with three different size punches, MS leaf frond spritzed with water and screwed up.

Papermania Capsule Collection - Papers, ribbon, flowers, buttons

American Crafts Cardstock

MS Lace Doily border punch

Challenge Between Friends

My turn to set the challenge again, how the week's fly.

I decided that Acetate had to be used somewhere or somehow.

I used mine as the front of my card, simply scored it and attached to the back of the cardstock, covering join with nice backing paper with fancy border.

Matted glitter card which was embossed with Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder inside.

Penny Black "Crossing Bridges" stamped on to nestie coloured with Prisma's and another nestie stuck on reverse inside to hide tape and somewhere to write.

Finally - some cards

I think I've broken my new year resolution to be a better a blogger. Not made any new cards recently, despite all my new stash. Which is partly to blame. I decided to organise my stamps and spent two evenings peeling EZ mount off them. I have since discovered Tack and Peel it's brilliant, saves space and lots of messing. My stamps are now neatly stored in albums on my shelves.

So on to my latest cards both for challenges over on Docrafts

Challenge between Friends

Suzanne2's turn to set this challenge. We had to make an almost white card with one other colour. Image and embellishments had to be same colours.

I used 8 x 8 pearl card from Craftwork cards
Black Linen card from Papermill, Pearl squares embossed with Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls.
Sentiment computer generated using Engraved and Scriptina fonts
Finnished with ribbon and flower.

Penny Black challenge with an African theme

Options were an African animal, safari colours/patterns or Kenyan flag colours red, black and green

Luckily one of my Buddy's sent me this image "Roar" in my Birthday card, coloured with Promarkers, Papermania papers, sentiment from old stash and raffia from garden section in Poundland.

Whisper's DoCraft Penny Black Challenge

Can't believe my first challenge card in ages and I can't upload it to DC - it says something about request length too long???

Will post it here and hope it's okay.

The challenge is a card featuring a Penny Black image with food or drink.

This image was from a Docrafter, coloured with Prisma's - after I blew the dust off them, not used them in ages.

Kay & Co papers

Card on a Card

I decided to make one of these simple but effective cards, not sure of their official name but I've given it the title of Card on a Card. Really easy to make and I love the finnished design.

I cut the smaller card with a nestie (Label 1) the papers are from a DCWV card stack and used two of my new stamps Pepper and Friends "Bath Time" and Penny Black "It's a Circus" coloured with Copics.

Card Club Make and Take

Love the elements of the card but not keen on DL size, so I redid it when I got home, lol and this is what I came up with.

Went to my card class on Tuesday night and this is what we made.

Really easy, black DL card blank, strip of yellow Cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots, Penny Black image stamped onto Oval Scalloped Nestie, Clear ink and embossing on one end, Arrow shaped sentiment with doodled stitching and a star and button. Added Anita's 3d gloss to tie and nose.
