Two swap pieces in one morning, I have been busy haven't I although I nearly opted out of this one when I saw what it was.
Where on earth do you start with a french themed fan? I suppose that's why it's called a challenge.
The fan was made from a single blade template
Viv gave us, it had to have 6 or 8 blades and each one to be 6" long. Decided on Shabby Chic look so used my favourite Tim Holtz papers appropriately named "Vintage Shabby" distressed with Victorian Velvet ink and then embossed the edges in gold. Not sure how french themed this actually is but had the idea of cameos with lace and pearls in my head.

The images were printed off from
Magic Moonlight a great site for free downloads then cut out with the smallest oval nestie. The gold oval could have done to be a bit smaller to look more like a frame but never mind. The lace was sent by a good friend and finnished off with my Viva pearl pen.
Would love to know what you think so please leave me a comment.
Thanks
