Penny Black Saturday challenge

Here's a card for the Penny Black Saturday challenge, this is first time I've entered this one. The theme is Monochromatic Browns.

I've used Penny Black's "Scooter Dog" and coloured him with Prisma's, Papermania papers and American Crafs cardstock, PSX sentiment and some candy dots.

Ali-Craft's first blog challenge

The fabulous Ali-crafts have set up a challenge blog and their first challenge is to make something using a Sarah Kay stamp.

How could you not join in that one.

I chose Chloe's Kiss coloured with Copics and made an Easel Anniversary card for a friend. The papers are Kay & Co and again made a punched flower with matching papers.

It runs till the 8th May so you've plenty of time to join in.

Right I'm off for a cuppa and to put all my ironing away, hopefully by which time the postie will have arrived with the rest of my new Tilda stamps then I can play!

Some recent cards

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely weather. My blog has been a bit neglected lately, but thought I'd share some of my recent cards with you.

Challenge Between Friends

Suzanne 2 over on Docrafts set this challenge 2 in 1. We had to make two cards using the same background paper but one was to be light shades and the other dark. The flowers were made using three different size punches, sprayed with water and screwed up.

Pirate Tilda

The treasure map was googled then burnt using a heatgun.

My lovely new Princess Tilda

The pin was one I made myself thanks to a tip off from Suzanne about this blog

Docrafts Card Kit Swap

This is the card I made and had to send the same bits to a parnter (Dec o Cards) to see what she could come up with, looking forward to seeing Sandra's creation.

I'll be back in a minute with a challenge card.

Thinking of You - Always

I'm so excited got my first "official" Hanglar stamps, YIPPEE! They have started to sell them via Ebay but be warned they sold out fast! Really pleased with them, they arrived in three days from Sweden.

Anyway back to the card, I've coloured my lovely little girl in with Copics and love the colours I chose. The yummy papers are from a DCWV Premium stack so the striped one is embossed and glittered. Used the Cuttlebug Candy Stripe embossing folder for some more Texture. A lovely bright Prima flower and gem centre with a Sizzix flourish.

Simon Says Challenge

This is another card made at Crafty Devils, we had a pink and black theme this weekend, one of my favourite colour combo's. Although there isn't any black on this one it's very pink and girly, which leads me to the challenge at Simon Says - a card for a child. This Greeting Farm stamp is perfect for any little girl, coloured with Copics and more Glamour Dust, papers from stash, American Crafts cardstock a ribbon and few pearls.

My first tent card

Been wanting to make one of these for a while and finally got chance at Crafty Devils. They are so simple and really effective, don't know why I didn't to it sooner.

The papers are downloaded from Summertime Designs. There are some gorgeous kits and all free. I've coloured Tilda with Copics and added some Glamour Dust, this should be in any crafters box of basics, I love it. Added some craft wire for her diddlyjigs and a jump ring to dangle her from.

Thanks for looking.

How does your garden grow?

Thanks to Rachel for telling me about the Simon Says Stamp Childrens Challenge, my five year old Son, Sam, loves gluing and sticking, he comes home from school everyday with the biggest and best model. Think he's going to be an engineer.

Anyway, yesterday we went to Range and he spotted the Craft Planet Goody Bag for kids which he bought with his Easter money and came home and made this garden. It was all his own idea and knew exactly what he was doing.

Hope you like it.

The Whiff of Joy image has been coloured with Copics.

Thanks for looking.

Oops I forgot.....

Whiff of Joy Challenge - Recipe

I've been trying to do lots of challenge cards and don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Well this was for the Whiff of Joy Recipe challenge 1 ribbon, 2 buttons, 3 ribbons
but I'm too late! Never mind, better get a move on with the new one.

The papers are Kay & Co with American Crafts cardstock, papermania ribbon and buttons

Whiff of Joy image coloured with Distress Inks, not sure about this, it's only the second time I've used them properly and think I'm a bit heavy handed, defintely need more practise, Copics are so much easier.

Cut her feet out of the nestie so I could get her on the small plain oval and used the scalloped one to mat and layer.

Passion for Promarker Challenge

By the skin of my teeth I might just be in time for this challenge.

You have to use two images.

I've used a Whiff of Joy background stamp and gorjuss girl, both coloured with Promarkers. The papers were given to me by a crafting friend with some American Crafts cardstock. The sentiment came all the way from Malaysia and says "Friendship is like a Bouquet of flowers, sweet and Beautiful.

A Pink card

My second card of the day is for a few challenges

Totally Gorjuss - Sketch
Stamp Something - Pink (my favourite colour)
Prairie Fairie - Texture
One Stop Craft - Paper Piecing (one of my favourite techniques)

I love the simplicity of this card, which I think is down to Net's great sketch and the Pink colour scheme.

Little Claire image "Blissful" paper pieced

Papers are all from Papermania Capsule Collection and American Craft Cardstock

Embossed Blossom nestie using Crafts Too folder

E-line flowers and charm
