Crafty Devils Meet

I went to my first Crafty Devils meet in Warrington yesterday and had a fantastic time, the best 1.50 and I've ever spent. I met some lovely people who I hope will remain good crafty friends and had a laugh whilst doing what we all love best.

The theme was "Anywhere in the World". Got their and realized I'd left my file of oriental stuff at home! Did have some bits with me so here's what I made.

Both are images from Mo's Digital Pencil too with Papermania papers.

We also had to do a Challenge which we had to complete in an hour. We had to use two papers, a ribbon, a flower, and three buttons/candy dots and a lucky dip image, mine being a Penny Black called "Hanging Around" I think. Not used to doing cats, think it look's more like a teddy bear.

Distressed Gorjuss Girl

After seeing a fab demo on Create and Craft for a change decided to play with my distress inks properly.
Stamped the Gorjuss Girl, plus another which I then cut out to mask the original so I could stamp the background over the top. Coloured her with Distress Inks. Sponged round the edges using a make up sponge (thought I`d try this before buying some Cut & Dry foam). Stamped a corner with Versamark and embossed with gold also embossed the edges.
Papermania papers, added some faux gold stitching to border.
I`m quite pleased with it for a first attempt.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 3

This is my entry for the Crafy Cardmakers third Blog Challenge

The following sketch had to be used

I used DCWV bright pink textured cardstock, pearlised textured cardstock from Docraft Xmas Goody Bag, Papermania Backing papers, Label 4 Nesties, flowers made from part of Icicle Nesties with buttons for centre and a charm. Sprinkled with a touch of Glamour Dust and sentiment to finnish.

Card Club Make and Take

Love the elements of the card but not keen on DL size, so I redid it when I got home, lol and this is what I came up with.

Went to my card class on Tuesday night and this is what we made.

Really easy, black DL card blank, strip of yellow Cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots, Penny Black image stamped onto Oval Scalloped Nestie, Clear ink and embossing on one end, Arrow shaped sentiment with doodled stitching and a star and button. Added Anita's 3d gloss to tie and nose.

Look what Hubby made me

I'd been looking at wooden shelving units in Argos and online at Ikea and hubby said he could build some in the alcove. But like everything else thought I'd have to nag him to do it, my Dad usually does any woodwork, being a joiner.

Anyway yesterday morning he came home with some wood and bless him spent all afternoon making these and I spent all evening filling them!

I have to use the Dining Room so it all has to go away when I`ve finnished. Just need some doors on to keep it out of sight and stop little hands rooting! I think they are great.

Thought he'd go mad when he saw quite how much stuff I'd got, but all he said was they might buckle with all the weight!

Off to my card class tonight, we are doing a Make and Take so I will post the finnished project later on.
