Sketch Saturday and Colour Create Challenges

This card is two challenges in one, neither of which have I entered before:-

Sketch Saturday - obviously follow the sketch and

Colour Create - pink, orange and green theme with the addional element of hearts (if you wanted)

I have used Kay & Co papers from the Sparkly Sweet pad, orange coredination cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug heart folder, green ribbons and some paper flowers and brads. The image is a freebie download and the sentiment from a Personal Impressions Cute Character set.

Copic Colouring

I spent last night playing with my Copics, after my first card was a success I decided to invest in some. However, I am not sure now and don't know whether to stick to Promarkers. The pastels are fine but the others are going to take some getting used to. See what you think.

Passion for Promarker Challenge - Cool Aqua & Pastel Pink

Morning all, this is this weeks entry for the Passion for Promarkers using Cool Aqua and Pastel Pink, there was also a sketch to follow. I've used Sugar Nellie's Daisy with Blossom Nesties and Coredination cardstock. The papers are by Kay and Co and sentiment from Cuddly Buddly. Finnished with double layer of ribbon and flower/button embellishments.

Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

Managed to get a Challenge card done this morning in between referee-ing the children falling out.

Followed the sketch given using a Sugar Nellie stamp "Fragile Beauty" coloured with Promarkers, on an oval scalloped nestie with fluid chalked background (again). The spotty paper is from a Kay & Co pad and the other from a Papermania pad, both on Coredination cardstock. Ribbon and buttons from stash and sentiment was in my Lucky Bag from Funky Kits.

Gorjuss Girl Challenge Card

This was a new challenge set on Docrafts and Gorjuss Girls are my favourite.

It had to be Red, Blue and White, 2 different papers, 3-5 embellishments and a sentiment if you wished oh and a Gorjuss Girl stamp of course.

Struggled with this colour scheme as not much in my stash, red, white and black yes but not blue!

Found the spotty backing and the Believe background on some Cd roms. Used Martha Stewart Scollop Dot Punch on blue pearl card. Angel Gorjuss Girl and teddy coloured with Promarkers and Copics. Background of Nestie coloured with a Fluid Chalk pad in Ice Blue. Finnished with double layer of blue ribbons and gem embellishments.

1st Passion for Promarker Challenge

Bit of a last minute entry, hopefully just in time, my flippin scanner has been playing up and wouldn't work, so better hurry up and upload.

The colour scheme is Rose Pink and Lime. Used Sunny Miss Anya and scalloped oval and label 4 Nesties. The label is sponged and edged with Fluid Chalks. The papers are all by papermania and sentiment by CuddlyBuddly. The ribbons are threaded through Quicklets, like eyelets but you don't need a hammer and setting tool. Added some gems and sunglasses button to finnish.

1st Copic Card

I normally use Promarkers but thought I`d get some Copics to try. After waiting a week for them to arrive one out of two sets I ordered came yesterday.

So here is my first card, coloured as best as you can with a choice of five colours. Just used Promarkers for the skin and flower stem.

The image is a Hanglar and the sentiment downloaded from Funkyfairiespapercrafts.

I love them and want lots more - knew I would.

1st Whiff of Joy Challenge

I've caught the blog challenge bug, this is my entry for this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge, you had to use the layout given. Decided if I'm going to be making cards anyway might as well try and win some goodies along the way, you never know.

The stamp is Willow with Cookies and the papers are from Papermania's Jesse Edwards Collection, with some Cored'ination embossed with Swiss Dots and a foral border. Finnished with some Flora doodles.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Made this card a couple of weeks ago but it fits the bill for the Sugar Bowl Challenge, Sugar Nellie Stamp with ribbon and/or bows. The stamp is called Daisy and used Papermania background from "Sweet Nothings" and a Cuddly Buddly sentiment.

New Whiff of Joy stamps

I have just discovered Whiff of Joys, after finding two had to have more so visited the website and found the gorgeous Pregnant Willow and Willow with baby and toddler. Here's my first card with them hope you like it.

1st Just Magnolia Challenge

This is my 1st Just Magnolia Challenge, you had to use buttons together with a Magnolia image.

I have used Tilda with her Tray of Cookies coloured with Promarker's and glazed with Versamark and Holographic embossing powder. The papers are from the "Scrumptious" pack by Papermania and Labels 4 Nesties, added some ribbon tags and Sentiment "Thank You - You're a Sweetheart" from Cuddly Buddly. The buttons are from the Woodware Designer range "Baking".

Well they've arrived, the summer holidays that is and the kids are already killing each other - didn't take them long.

Think I might try and made a couple of challenge cards later today. So watch this space.

I've also been asked to do two card stalls in August one at a Country and Western festival and one for a local funday in aid of Motor Neurone Disease so I better get busy over the next few weeks.

Can't believe there is only a week left till Summer Hols! I've just been to my Son's "Celebration of Achievement" at Pre-School before he leaves for big school. I don't know how the teachers do it without shedding tears. I managed to hold them back. They were presented with their "Learning Journey" (file) and entertained by a very silly magic man as Sam said, who kept farting. It's always the little things that amuse them, lol.

I'm off for a well deserved glass of wine and try to finnish the cards for the teachers.

My new S.N's arrived as you can see, don't know when I'll get to try them, just made some quick Thank You Bookmarks for the teachers as two of my children are changing schools. Got three card orders to do, and as it's nearly time for the school run they'll have to wait till tonight.
