Goodbye 2009 and Hello 2010
I'd just like to say hope everyone had a good Christmas and to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.
I am making a New Year's resolution to be a better blogger.
I bought myself some fab crafting stash with my Christmas pennies including some Copics so have been busy playing, although not easy with the children at home. Finding it hard to concentrate.
Anyway I've made this one with Mo's digital image "You're my Best" and I'm really pleased with it. The Gemstone and Whitewash Cardstock were from the sale at Craft Superstore and Glitterpot. Papers from DCWV stack and flowers from stash. Chalked and glittered them along with the edge of the nestie. The little charm came all the way from South Africa in some Christmas Goodies from a DT pal.
Happy New Year!

Cards with new stash
Well as the weather was so cold and horrible yesterday I decided to have a play with some of my new stash from my prize draw win.
Made a few simple cards, it was nice to do something other than Christmas Cards, which have all been sent, so that's them over and done with for another year.
Lili of the Valley Unicorn and Dragon coloured with Promarkers with My Minds Eye papers and Coredination cardstock
Monkey stamp by Stampendous coloured with Promarkers and DCWV papers
Happy Elephants by Little Claire, paper pieced with My Minds Eye paper, flowers and grass coloured with Promarkers.
Sarah Kay - A Kiss for Chloe, this one took a little longer as I paper pieced it using two different My Minds Eye papers, hair and skin coloured with Promarkers.

Co-ordinating card, candle and tag
This card and candle for my Daughter's Pre-School teacher. All using Forever Friends stamps, the candle and tag were coloured with Promarkers and the card is a quickie using an embossed card blank which has been chalked and the image coloured with Prisma`s.
Part of this is actually the new Totally Gorjuss Challenge starting tomorrow but I'm not telling you which bit, you'll have to wait and see.
Easel Calendar
YIPPEE, finally finnished my Christmas cards. I was going to have a card free night then remembered I had some of those little calendars, not much use next year, so I've made this is Easel Card with a Calendar for my Daughter's form teacher, who looks a bit like Miss Anya.
The papers are Papermania, Oval Nellie Snellen die, image coloured with Promakers.

Totally Gorjuss DT Challenge - Free and Easy
Sorry folks should have posted this on Friday, completely forgot in the excitement of my parcel and out all day today at craft meet.
Anyway as it's such a busy time for everyone at the moment what with a certain word beginning with C and ending in mas we've decided to go with an easy challenge "Free and Easy" therefore you can submit whatever you like.
I chose this lovely image from Mo's Digital Pencil "Winter Delivery" coloured with Prisma's, the papers are DCWV and the flowers are from Quixotic and McGill pine leaves punch.

WOW WOW WOW - look what I won!
A good day got even better, did the school fair and made over 70.00 which was fantastic. Then came home to find a parcel waiting, a very large and heavy one. Had no idea what it was, I've ordered some stamps but nothing that big.
Imagine my face when I opened it to find this lot
I've won a prize draw in The Stampers Complete Handbook, forgot I entered it way back in the summer. I am absolutely gobsmacked, I was jumping up and down like a kid in a sweet shop, hubby thought I'd gone mad.
Just need to find a home for it all. There's Elusive Images, Woodware, Lili of the Valley, Joanna Sheen, Blonde Moments, Little Claire to name a few plus a heatgun and embossing powders! Out of all of it there was only a clear set of Penny Black's I'd already got.
I am grinning from ear to ear and shall be for a long time to come.

1st Brayered picture
Been playing with my new brayer and Clarity Stamps. Had a few messy attempts but finally managed to do this.
The verse reads:
God, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference, Amen.
My hands looked like they were covered in fake tan by the end of it and it had plenty of fingerprints on Martin Parker would be proud of, managed to hide them though.
Not quite Barbara Grey but quite pleased with it. Not sure what I`m going to do with it though.
It`s the Serenity stamp set with Big n Juicy stamp pad in Spice

Totally Gorjuss DT Challenge 8
Whilst we are still on Friday (just) it's a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss.
This week it's a sketch from Net, made a nice change to do something quick and simple.
I used K&Co papers with an image from Mo's Digitial Pencil it's from the Collection Danni and Friends. This is actually one of the few that have been released by Mo as a clear stamp. Coloured it with Promarkers and cut it out with a Nellie Snellen die.
Added a few gems and a sentiment to finnish.

Totally Gorjuss DT - Challenge
This weeks challenge is "anything but a card"
As Christmas is creeping up on us we want to see your gift ideas.
I intended doing a Candle but it went wrong and I only had one. So we have got some notebooks instead which I have made for the school Christmas Fair next week.
Notebooks from Poundshop covered with odds of backing papers, Gorjuss Girls coloured with Promarkers and cut out and a few embellishments to finnish.

Crafty Cardmakers - Clear as Day Challenge
I've not entered a challenge for ages and saw this idea in a magazine. I never think to use acetate as a card blank and when I saw this challenge decided now was the time to have a go.
First of all apologies for the pictures as it not the easiest thing to photograph, the scanned one has a piece of black card underneath it.
Anyway back to the card.
Cut down an A4 piece of acetate and scored to make a gatefold card, then stamped it all over with snowflakes in white Stazon (why do they only sell the pad and refill set - anyone know?). Cut some nestie labels, a border of Papermania background and some coredinations cardstock and stuck down. The labels on the back hide all the sticky tape.
Lastly coloured my Little Star Gorjuss Girl with Promarkers and added some Glamour Dust, cut her out and stuck her

Pretty Giraffe
This is for my favourite Auntie, she used to live in Kenya and loves giraffes and elephants. I borrowed the stamp off a friend at Craft Club, it is the prettiest giraffe I`ve seen, love those eyes.
8 x 8 card from Craftwork Cards
It's a Rubber Cottage stamp but came from Topaz, inked it with Stampin Up Chocolate Brown ink and coloured with Prisma`s.
Papers are Basic Grey, matted on American Crafts Cardstock with a ribbon, sentiment and flower.
Really pleased with this one.

Calendar
Picked this Calendar up in Poundland, the top half is a memo board which I decided to decorate.
Used DCWV papers inked the edges, flowers and vines cut with Sizzix die and Miss Anya coloured with Prisma's.
Think it will be a trip back to the poundshop and everyone will be getting calendars and candles for Christmas, lol.

Hello
Morning all,
Not been on for a while, don't know where the days are going. Been busy the last few days I was at a craft meet in Warrington all day on Sunday which was great. Spent Tuesday in the hospital with Son having five teeth taken out.
Then I had my first craft club on Tuesday evening. I offered to take over our local group as the lady running it was stepping down, my friend is helping me along with another lady who was already on the committee. We decided to do more make and takes and everyone will now have to bring their own equipment and materials.
I have now got to come up with plenty of projects! We started off with a Slider card, it was a little disorganised but I think everyone enjoyed it and we had five new ladies.
I've not got a card to show you as I was too busy sorting everyone else out.
These are the ones I made at Warrington Crafty Devils, the monkey was a Challenge using a template, we were all given a different one. I don't think anyone was impressed but the results were really good.
Finally a Good Luck card ordered by a friend
I've got a DT and two challenge cards to do, not to mention cleaning up so I better get a move on.

Totally Gorjuss DT card (3rd Challenge) - Doubling Up
Where do the weeks go? It's the third challenge over at Totally Gorjuss today and as the title states it's a doubling up one. Which means, we want you to use two or more Gorjuss Girls, top and bottom, side by side, inside and out - it's up to you. Can't wait to see them all.
Here's mine
I masked one of the girls and then stamped the other overlapping it (first time I've done this) then coloured with Prisma's.
I used an 8 x 8 card blank from Craftwork cards and papermania papers with white glittered cardstock and Vellum quote from DCWV. Made my own gem swirl by pricking a stamped flourish and using it as a template and finally ribbon, charm and sentiment made on Word.

My first Candle
Decided to have a go at a Candle, not tried this before, can't believe how easy it was. Always wondered how you stamped on a curved surface - derr!
Thought this Gorjuss Girl image was perfect, coloured with Promarkers. Added a Cloud 9 sentiment to the back.
It's not perfect so this one is going to sit and watch over me while I craft, but will definitely be doing some more for Christmas pressies.

Totally Gorjuss DT card - Challenge 2 "Shape Up"
Well it's Friday again and that means time for Totally Gorjuss' second challenge. As you can see from the title it is called "Shape Up" which means no square or rectangle cards. The DT cards are fabulous and really inspiring.
Here's mine, it's a Diamond Fold card.
Chose one of the sitting Gorjuss Girls coloured with Prisma's, which I masked then stamped the background. I must admit it took several attempts to get right! Used some pearl card from stash with papermania background. Added ribbon, flower and charm with sentiment to finnish.

Stampin for the weekend - orange, brown, leafy green
Stamp Something - brown + something
Secret Crafter - autumn colours
One Stop Craft - birthday
The Pink Elephant - Fall
