Totally Gorjuss DT Challenge 15 - Paper Piecing

What can we say except WOW, we have never had so many entries as we did last week, has word finally got round about Totally Gorjuss? Thank you to all who joined in.

Net has set another fab challenge this week "Paper Piecing" this is one of my favourite techniques, just wish I'd not left it so late to make my card.

I've used one of the fab new Manga stamps from Funky Kits "Bloom and Grow" (delivered within 24 hours of ordering!) and papers of the same name by My Mind's Eye (a big favourite too) only the skin and hair is coloured with Copics.

Hope you'll all pop over and join us in this week's challenge.

Christmas Pledge Week 4

Well can you believe it's the end of January already? Over on DC Snoflake has set a Christmas pledge where we are to make one Christmas card for 2010 each week and this week if we've got all four so far we will be entered into a prize draw.

I've had a busy week, got an order for 20 cards and a table top sale in a couple of weeks so trying to make as many as possible also going to Blackpool on Sunday to spend the day with the DoCrafts Crafty Devils who are having a weekend retreat. I didn't dare leave hubby with the four children for a whole weekend, lol.

YAY I won a challenge and a challenge between friends

I've won the One Stop Craft Fancy Edges and Borders challenge. The prize is 10.00 worth of scrapbook papers. That's made my day.

It was my turn to set a Challenge for Sandy C and Suzanne 2 over on Docrafts, so came up with Monochrome, which meant no fancy coloured pens or pencils just black and grey.

This is what I came up with using an old Sketch. First time I've attempted to colour in monochrome, not bad for a first attempt I suppose.

I coloured my Miss Anya in with Prisma pencils using Black and the Cool Greys, the DP's are Papermania Charcoal collection and a few bits of card from stash finnished with ribbon and Prima flowers.

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 14 and some more

This is my DT card for this week's challenge over at Totally Gorjuss we want to see some dimension on your cards.

I've decoupaged my little Gorjuss girl's dress and boots and used the new Papermania Build a Rose stamp. Also added some Glossy Accents to the boots and flowers and the centre of the rose and leaf.

The Gorjuss Girl is coloured with Promarkers and the papers are some Bo Bunny ones I picked up at the bargain price of 25p a sheet. I Stamped the sentiment on the ribbon.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges

Passion for Promarkers - Girls, Girls, Girls

Papertake Weekly - Pretty Pink

Crafty Catz love challenge

Another fabulous week at Crafty Catz the theme is Love, it can be any sort of card but must have a heart on.

This card was also made for a challenge set by my Docraft buddy Sandy C for myself and Suzanne2. We had to make an ornate valentine card.

I used Papermania backing papers with some white and silver handmade paper from stash with some cuttlebugged cardstock. The stamp is by Tied with Blue from the big prize draw I won. I stamped and embossed it once then masked to overlap the second heart.

Totally Gorjuss DT card - Monotone

It's time for a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss, completely forgot last week we're moving to a Saturday, so that will give you the weekend to make your creation.

This week we want to see your cards in Monotone ie shades of the same colour.

I've used copics (again) to colour my GG, really getting to like my new pens now and already want the other 72, lol.

The papers are from Papermania's Capsule collection in Aqua.

I have given this card to a lovely crafting lady I met for the first time today, hope we will have lots of fun together. It's always nice to meet other crafty people

Colour Create Challenge

First of all this card was a personal challenge from Suzanne2 on Docrafts to make a card using no patterned papers. If I wanted patterns I had to make it myself.

I stamped some Clarity grasses and flowers in Versamark then emboseed them and used the brayer with a Big and Juicy Inkpad in Hydrangea for the background.

The image is again a Clarity stamp "Blustery Day" the larger brown nestie is embossed with Happy Birthday folder and cut from the inner of wrapping paper (a tip from Yorkie Lover). Birthday slider cut from same card.

As this card was blue and white I decided to add the brown paper to fit in with the Colour Create challenge Blue/White and Kraft with optional extra of texture.

Anya and Friends Sketchy Saturday Challenge

Here's a card for the Sketchy Saturday challenge over at Greeting Farm's Anya & Friends using this fab sketch.

I've used one of the Wild Sprout digital downloads Dressy Ebony and coloured her with Copics. Not too great when it comes to black hair so hope it's okay. The papers are from Craftwork Cards, the black circle has been embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots folder and very hard to see but there are three gems in bottom left corner that have been coloured black.

Crafty Catz Challenge

Another challenge card, doing well with my New Year resolution to do more blogging. This one's for the Crafty Catz challenge "Bright and Sparkly"

I used Kay and Co paper with some Ammerican Craft and Gemstone carstock embossed with the hearts cuttlebug folder and the Gorjuss Princess image coloured with Copics on Nestie Label 4.

I've glittered the edge of the nestie and the hearts and pink lines on her tights and some gems to finnish with a bling.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Not entered this one for ages, just had to use this great sketch though.

The theme to go with it is "anything new" so I've used my new Sugar Nellie stamp Peek-a-Bunny although I think it looks like she's made a NEW friend and also used my new Nesties Label 1. I've coloured the image with Copics which I got for Christmas so still getting the hang of them. The papers are Kay and Co with some Gemstone cardstock and a few pearls again coloured with Copics to co-ordinate.
